How High Should a Chandelier Hang Over a Dining Table?
Most dining chandeliers should hang 30 to 36 inches above the tabletop. Higher ceilings can allow a slightly higher placement, but the fixture should still feel connected to the table.
For width, choose a chandelier that is about one-half to two-thirds the width of the table.
